So here are a few pics of the all new, 2009 W.F.O. 9. This bike is for real but you'll have to wait for early 2009 to get one. And so is the fork. We're launching the W.F.O. with Marzocchi and their all new 2010 Marzocchi 44 29er fork.

Huge news from the first day of Eurobike. Dave Turner and Dave Weagle have teamed up to change the entire line of Turner Bikes over to the DW-Link. This is a gigantic change for Turner Bikes and it is the release that Weagle has been hinting towards for some time now.

The momentum that 29ers create is well documented. On my local trails, the larger diameter wheels are incredible. Locally, almost everything is typical rolling cross country loops with rocks and roots, but there are no major drops or typical "all mountain" riding. The low top tube of the Evolve really gives the bike a lower center of gravity causing you to feel in-between the wheels instead of on top of them.

Nothing is more annoying on the trail than equipment that is not cooperating with you. An ill-functioning bike can ruin even the best of rides. It is extremely important to keep your bike a well oiled machine so your rides are focused on fun rather than repair.

I was right on board with the anti 15mm crowd from the beginning. It was actually my first post on this blog. I took the Ardents up to Pinhoti 2, 3 and 4 up in the north Georgia mountains over the weekend to get some long mile testing in. The Pinhoti's are known for providing some of the best single track that Georgia can provide. Great tight, twisty downhills with long steep climbs get your heart rate peaked no matter which way you are headed.

Walking into the front door, you come straight into the final assembly and order staging area of the plant. You can see by the pictures below they stock your spokes and hubs in white boxes and the rims go on the other wall. Finished prototypes are hung on one side of the room and the finished boxed wheelsets are stacked all over the place.

Some might argue that a bicycle is simply a tool, a way to get from point A to point B. They're not wrong, but that utilitarian view misses perhaps the most crucial point: A bicycle, especially one built with passion for passionate riders, is not just a tool. It's a way out. Out of where? One ride, and you'll know.

If you haven't seen a set of Industry Nine wheels...you are missing out. Named one of Bike Magazines top 15 Editors Choice products in 2008, these wheelsets have hit the industry by storm over the past couple of years. Their precision machining and stunning good looks have put them at the top of the most wanted list for most cycling enthusiasts. Industry Nine's goal was to produce the best wheels that money could buy. They have achieved their goal and surpassed most of our expectations.
