This is the first day off I have had from my job in a long time. So what am I going to do with all of the free time? Hopefully, I get everything on my list done in time to get some riding in...if not, get ready for Tanasi.

I was driving down I-20 in Atlanta on my way to our Tuesday night ride when I saw a truck so hideous that I had to take a picture. Seriously, what are people thinking?! As you can see by the picture, this Ford F350 crew cab dully has FAKE BLINGED OUT WHEELS attached to the regular ones!

I don't normally do this on Mountain Biking by 198, but I am now. One of the benefits of having a blog is the ability to speak your mind on subjects, and one of the great things about the comments section is that you can share yours! So here it goes...

This month, our Lifetime Fitness finally opened around the corner. One of the biggest draws to this gym, for me, was the incredible spinning room. Now, I hate spinning. On Pisgah epics, cycling is an adrenaline rush, exercise and a passion. For shuttle dh runs, it is almost all adrenaline rush (which is addicting). Somedays, cycling is just an excuse to get outside on a perfect day.

The Industry Nine vs. Chris King hub debate is one rivalry that has gotten a lot of press over the last couple of years. The rookie, Industry Nine, has stepped in to try to claim the title. In every great match-up, the race is pretty close. I have owned or currently own both of these incredible hubs. How do they measure up?

Sometimes its larger, sometimes its smaller, but it is always there...the never ending pile of tires. For some reason I can never really get rid of it. There are always a couple of sets that I think I may use again and then there are the sets that are dry rotted and need a new home. A lot of times, I end up giving away the tires I didn't like to friends and fellow riders.
